Dr. Daiju Yamazaki leads research on drug safety and pharmacological responses using advanced Microphysiological Systems (MPS) and iPS cell based models, including a 3D human cardiac tissue platform for arrhythmia assessment. His work bridges cardiophysiology, liver metabolism, and regulatory science, driving national and international efforts to advance MPStechnologies and harmonization. Dr. Yamazaki is the director of 2nd Laboratory, Division of Pharmacology, National Institute of Health Sciences (NIHS), Japan.
