The TU Braunschweig Postdoc Day is held regularly as part of the Postdoc Programme. The event is primarily aimed at postdocs new to the university, but of course more experienced postdocs are also cordially invited.
The last Postdoc Day took place on 15 September 2023. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Hecker, Vice President for Research and Early Career Scientists, and Prof. Dr. Joachim Block, Chair of the Braunschweigischer Hochschulbund e.V. (Braunschweig University Association), warmly welcomed the participants. Afterwards, all postdocs had the opportunity to discuss their current career planning in a workshop on transferable skills by Dr. Philipp Gramlich (NaturalScience.Careers). After this short workshop, participants had the opportunity to talk to the contact persons of various service facilities at TU Braunschweig (Corporate Health Management, Entrepreneurship Hub, Gauß-IT-Zentrum, Knowledge and Technology Transfer, Mobility Office, Research Services, Staff Council, Team Teaching and Media Education & University Library) and find out about their support possibilities for postdocs. Finally, a joint lunch buffet with lots of opportunities for networking completed the day.
We are glad to have hosted such a successful event and are looking forward to the next Postdoc Day!
