November 29, 2024 | 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Dr. Anja Centeno García I
Room PK 4.122 (Old Building of TU Braunschweig, Pockelsstr. 4, 1st floor)
The workshop aims to provide foundational training in moderation and discussion facilitation to enable participants to confidently lead these types of discussions and structure them in an effective and goal-oriented manner.
In addition to an introduction to methods of moderation, facilitation, and conversation management, you will gain insights into how to handle various conversational contexts and group sizes, as well as potential solutions for challenging situations. The program will focus in particular on discussions with external experts in the context of (re)accreditation processes. In cooperation with Department 16, you will learn which aspects of preparation and documentation are necessary and best lead up to the discussions. You will apply your newly acquired knowledge in practical sessions by conducting sample moderation sequences and conversation interventions and reflecting on your approach together with other colleagues.
Please note the follow-up session on January 13, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., during which practical elements will be explored in greater depth and you will be optimally prepared for upcoming meetings. The follow-up session is even more focused on the exchange of experiences and draws on concrete practical examples from past meetings with external experts. Further information will be provided at the kick-off meeting.
This workshop is specifically designed for colleagues who will be organizing, coordinating, and conducting meetings with external experts as part of upcoming (re)accreditation processes.
It is also intended for anyone interested in or involved in program development processes, as well as colleagues whose work focuses on quality management processes in teaching and learning.
If you have any questions regarding participation, please feel free to contact us at any time via email at lehrentwicklung(at)tu-braunschweig.de.
