All registrations

Generally, all exams have to be registered online. Please take into consideration, in which field the exam is registered. This selection is binding and cannot be changed retrospectively.

The online exam administration can be found at: https://vorlesungen.tu-bs.de 

For the online registration you need a list of TAN numbers. You can obtain these via e-mail from the Examination Office. The TAN list will be activated as soon as you have confirmed the Examination Office's e-mail. Students in the 2-subject bachelor programme can obtain their TAN list from the examination office of their main subject.

Exams, for which the online registration is not available, can be registered in written form using the registration form (available here and at the Examination Office).

A written registration (not online) has to be used for:

• Additional achievements (exams and course achievements)
• Minor-subject exams in the Master Mathematics programme (according to your individual exam schedule - create this with the course coordinator)
• Economic major (Vertiefung) in the Master FWM programme (only orientations and specialisations can be registered online)
• Nichtparametrische Statistik, Spektralanalytische Methoden, Risiko- und Extremwerttheorie und Mathematische Stochastik (Nonparametric Statistics, Spectral Analytical Methods, Risk and Extreme Value Theory and Mathematical Stochastics) : Online, these exams are worth 5 CP. If you want to register one of these exams with only 3 CP within the module "... incl. specialisation", you have to do this in written form at the Examination Office.
• and all other exams that are not named in the list of exams that can be registered for online.

The registration for exams has to be completed within the exam registration period. Please note the information provided via e-mail or on the website for more details.

Outside the above-mentioned registration period no more examination registrations will be accepted, even upon request!

Please note the following:  As the dates for oral exams have to be arranged independently with the institutes, a fictitious exam date is stored in the online system for the registration of oral exams. This date marks the first day of the examination period and thus the earliest day from which oral examinations can take place in the respective semester (in the summer semester 2024: 08.07.2024).

Summer Semester 2022

The lists indicate the date of the exam and the date of the last possible day to cancel. The exams for which no date is indicated are oral exams. The QIS-Portal shows the ficticious date of 24.01.2022 for these exams. Please arrange your individual exam appointment directly with the examiner.

Please note that you have to be enrolled while working on the bachelor's thesis. You have three months to finish it.

As a rule, registration for the bachelor's thesis is possible as soon as study and examination achievements of at least 120 credit points (PO3, PO4, PO5) or 140 credit points (PO2) have been accumulated and have been submitted to the Examination Office. You can find out whether you have achieved the required credit points at the Examinations Office or check for yourself at https://vorlesungen.tu-bs.de. If you submit the registration for the bachelor's thesis without the required preliminary work, the registration will not be recognised. Furthermore, the bachelor's thesis can NOT be re-registered with the same title.

First of all, you need to find a supervisor and agree on a topic for your bachelor's thesis. Please note: If you want to write your bachelor's thesis externally, please enquire at the Examination Office about the relevant regulations. To register your thesis, please use the registration form "Anmeldung einer Abschlussarbeit" (available here and at the Examination Office). The completed and signed registration form must be submitted to the Examinations Office and then the thesis is registered. The working period of three months starts on the date indicated on the registration form and the submission date is therefore exactly three months after the registration date (example: registration date: 18.11.2015 -> submission date: 18.02.2016).

As of now, final theses (bachelor's or master's thesis) are uploaded in TUConnect. Submission by e-mail or on data carriers is no longer required. The date of submission is the upload date of the submission to the examination office.

Bound copies no longer have to be submitted to the Examinations Office. Examiners can request the submission of a printed copy within 5 days of the upload date. In that case, the submission will take place at the examiners' office.

There is an automatic plagiarism check.

You can only upload one PDF document (the declaration of originality must be included). To do this, convert your work as a PDF document directly from your word document or use the print function. Please do not scan!

For data protection reasons, you may remove the personal data "last name", "first name" and "matriculation number" from the electronic version of your thesis before uploading it.

The maximum file size is 150 MB. If necessary, please reduce the resolution of images/drawings in the file.

If the final thesis is your last exam and you would like to exmatriculate as soon as possible, you should be absolutely certain that you have passed all exams and study achievements including the final thesis. If your final thesis has not yet been graded, but the performance will definitely be graded as passed, first and second examiners can issue a "4.0 certificate", which confirms that your final thesis has been passed with at least "sufficient". We strongly advise against exmatriculation until it is certain that all exams and study achievements have been passed.

Please note that you have to be enrolled while working on the master's thesis. You have six months to finish it.

You can register for the master's thesis as soon as you have earned 60 credit points in the Master's programme Mathematics and have submitted them to the Examination Office. You can find out whether you have achieved the required 60 credit points at the Examinations Office or check for yourself at https://vorlesungen.tu-bs.de. If you submit the registration for the master's thesis without the required preliminary work, the registration will not be recognized. Furthermore, the master's thesis can NOT be re-registered with the same title.
