Refugee Courses

Skill & Refreshment Crash Training Courses for Refugees:

The courses are held by volunteering refugees with special technical and academic skills to support other refugees. Courses are held in Arabic mixed with German and English to speed up learning process. There are more than 200 young academics around Braunschweig. DABV (Deutsch-Aabischer Bildungsverein e. V.) is coordinating academic personal networking and available skills to reach prompt integration of the refugees in Braunschweig area into University and industrial environments. Number of participants till jan 2018 is around 110 professional refugee from Syria (majority) and other arab countries.

Targets:

  • Fast integration of Arab Academics in research and study at the TU Braunschweig
  • Fast entry and integration of refugees to the local industrial and research environment to learn German at work.
  • Enhance and fasten success in refreshing mathematical skills for students who interrupted their education in Syria.
