The Technical University of Braunschweig is looking for a
student research assistant (20–40 hours/month) for the
Institute of Machine Tools and Manufacturing Technology
(Chair of Manufacturing Technologies & Process Automation).
As part of research projects, the Department of Automated Battery Production at the Institute for Machine Tools and Manufacturing Technology is working on various automation and production-related issues. To strengthen the team, we are looking for a student assistant to support us in the area of object detection for automated battery disassembly.
As part of the VaTreBat research project, joints on battery systems are detected and classified using object detection methods such as R-CNN, YOLO or SSD. Based on this data, a path is planned for a robot-guided handling and laser cutting process.
Severely disabled persons will be given preference if equally qualified. Proof must be provided. TU Braunschweig strives to reduce underrepresentation in all areas and positions as defined by the NGG. Therefore, applications from women are particularly welcome. Application costs cannot be reimbursed.
Personal data will be stored for the purposes of the application process.
