in the field of field simulation of production process chains

The professorship Sustainable Production and Life Cycle Engineering of the Institute for Machine Tools and Manufacturing Technology (IWF) develops new methods, tools and technologies in the research fields "Life Cycle Engineering" and "Sustainability in Production" to meet the challenges of sustainable development along the entire life cycle.

Your area of ​​responsibility

• Elaboration and documentation of agent-based simulation models for analysing product-process interactions
• Simulative optimisation of parameters in production lines in the automotive and supplier industry, particularly with regard to energy efficiency
• Research and development of visualisation strategies, e.g. in the form of dashboards
• Development of a basic model for the optimisation of production process chains
• Support for current events at the institute

You bring with you

• Degree in engineering, computer science or a related field
• High level of independence, self-motivation, sense of responsibility and reliability
• Interest in and enthusiasm for the digitalisation of production processes
• Basic knowledge / previous experience in programming (especially Python or Java) and in the use of simulation models (especially AnyLogic) is an advantage
