Research Associate
Osama Abdelaal works on spiking neural networks and their energy-efficient implementation in hardware, from neuron models and encoding schemes through surrogate-gradient training to mapping onto neuromorphic circuits.
In teaching he runs the programming tutorials of the lecture Neuromorphic Computing & Engineering and acts as assessor in the oral examinations. He supervises student projects on neuromorphic hardware and spiking neural networks.
