Since the 1979–80 winter semester, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has been funding the ISAP exchange program with the University of Waterloo (UW) in Ontario, Canada, through scholarships. The program is guided by the idea of enabling students from UW and the Technical University of Braunschweig to gain a better understanding of each other’s countries and the people who live there. The academic benefit of the exchange program lies in the fact that Braunschweig students can continue their studies without interruption at one of North America’s most renowned technically oriented universities. Both professionally and personally, this academic year represents a significant enrichment for their future paths in life.
Students in the following master’s programs are eligible to participate in the exchange program:
Exams for lectures are fully recognized as subject exams. Because the curriculum is coordinated with the host institution prior to the study abroad period, recognition of the academic credits earned is guaranteed. Since the number of ISAP scholarships is limited, only outstanding candidates are selected to participate in the program.
