In the 2025/2026 winter semester, the ASSMANN Prize, worth a total of €600, was once again awarded to dedicated students specialising in timber construction for their achievements in the course "Designing Timber Structures". In this course, students acquired in-depth knowledge of the design and structural engineering of wide-span timber structures. Supported by continuous guidance from the IBHolz supervisors and ongoing discursive discussion, their ideas developed into a coherent and robust structural design. Students Jannis Dörr, Hannes Schöne-Warnefeld, Timo Beushausen and Yifan Jiang impressed the jury with their design, the structural engineering of the task and their presentation. IBHolz would like to thank all students of the semester for their committed and creative work on the design task; in particular, Henning Klattenhoff and Lukas Muth as representatives of ASSMANN Beraten+Planen / BKW Engineering for their support, valuable contributions, the prize awarded and the continuity of cooperation in research and teaching between ASSMANN Beraten+Planen / BKW Engineering and IBHolz.
