In cooperation with the building historian Elmar Arnhold , the Institute of Building Construction and Timber Structures carried out a dendrochronological study of Kramers Gut in Helmstedt.
The inscription on the building "Speicher III b" reads "BURCHARD TRAUTFETTER: ANNO 1644". The aim of the investigation was to prove that the building was erected around 1500 and that old components were reused in the new building.
The samples are analysed in the dendrochronology laboratory Pressler. We are looking forward to the results with great interest.
