In the current publication, a trajectory model (KLATra) for the refraction of cold air flow paths was developed based on the results of the KLAM_21 cold air flow model and tested in a case study. For the study area of Freiburg im Breisgau, KLATra was first used to identify the main cold air pathways and then to examine their effectiveness for ventilating the urban area using a connectivity analysis. The publication is the result of a bachelor's thesis in environmental sciences in cooperation with the German Weather Service DWD.
