The Soil Science Society of America (SSSA) honours Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Durner as a "Fellow" in 2022. The award will be presented in an award ceremony on 7.11.2022 during the annual meeting of the scientific society in Baltimore, Maryland. The Fellow award is the highest honour bestowed by the SSSA and is given for outstanding contributions to soil science through education, national and international service and research.
Society members nominate worthy colleagues based on their professional achievements and meritorious service. Up to 0.3 per cent of the Society's active and emeritus members may be elected Fellow.
