At the annual conference of the GdO (Society of German-speaking Odonatologists) held from 13–15 March 2026 in Saarbrücken, the IGÖ team stood out with their excellent presentations and poster designs.
Dr Diana Goertzen gave a presentation on larval findings in the watercourses of the city of Braunschweig, and Jolan Hogreve presented a review of the life cycle of the large blue damselfly (Sympetrum striolatum).
Also in attendance were three students from the Department of Landscape Ecology, who were taking part in their first conference – and with great success! Jette Söhnholz was awarded the Lopi Prize for the best young researcher’s presentation, closely followed by Johanna Waldeck in second place. The Elegans Prize for the best poster went to Finn Beckmann. Congratulations!
