During the project, each researcher is responsible for the secure storing of research data, and archiving it at the end of the project. Here it is important to distinguish between storing and archiving. Not all data needs to be archived.
To archive research data in a secure and reusable manner, various repositories for research data have been and are being established. Such repositories are either subject-specific and list research data on a specific research topic or a specific research discipline, or they are generic and thus not limited to a specific discipline. The TU Braunschweig provides a generic variant as an institutional research data repository integrated into the LeoPARD.
