Professionalisation

For the course ‘Toxicology and Law for Chemists’, the examination der Sachkunde nach §11 Abs. 1 Nr. 1 der Chemikalien-Verbotsverordnung must be passed in accordance with the requirements of the responsible supervisory authority.

The course ‘Vorlesung zur Sachkundeprüfung nach §11 der ChemVerbotsV (1416015)’ is always offered in the summer semester.

Courses from the Language Centre and language certificates acquired outside the TU Braunschweig can be used here.

English language courses must be at least level B2, language courses in the second or third foreign language at school at least level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Proof must be provided in the form of a certificate from a language centre of a German or equivalent foreign university or Volkshochschule.

• Work placements must be documented by a certificate and a report reflecting the interdisciplinary skills acquired.
• Upon informal application to the Examination Board, competences acquired through professional activity may also be recognised if they were not a prerequisite for admission to the degree programme.
• Excursions can be recognised upon informal application to the Examination Board (exception: the compulsory excursion in the Master's degree programme in Chemistry cannot be recognised).

A certificate and a report reflecting on the acquired interdisciplinary competences must be submitted for recognition.

• Activities as a tutor in teaching can be recognised once per semester; 2 CP are awarded for a semester-long activity. Please submit an informal certificate from the employing institution.
• Activities as a sports supervisor, trainer or sports officer at the sports centre can be recognised.
• Support and networking for international students: participation in the
  Scout-Programm

Recognition requires the submission of proof and a report reflecting on the interdisciplinary skills acquired.

Interdisciplinary courses from the special lists “Ziele für Nachhaltige Entwicklung“, „Pool“ or „Gender Lehrverzeichnis“.

Proof of performance is required for the selected courses/modules. A certificate of attendance is not sufficient. The examination modalities vary depending on the selected courses.
