Prof. Dr.-Ing. Michael Terörde was a visiting professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) in Mumbai, India, from 16 February to 11 March 2026. He was affiliated with the Department of Energy Science and Engineering, with the aim of further strengthening academic networking in the fields of electrical energy systems and on-board power systems.
The stay focused on scientific exchange with Indian colleagues, laboratory visits, and discussions on potential joint activities in research and teaching. In addition, Prof. Terörde gave a seminar lecture and taught a course on on-board power systems for students at IIT Bombay. He was particularly impressed by the excellent laboratory infrastructure, the high academic level of the students, and the well-equipped campus.
Based on the contacts established during the stay, further joint activities in research, teaching, and student exchange are planned for the coming years.
