Chair of Mobile Electric Energy Systems

We warmly welcome Professor Dr.-Ing. Michael Terörde, the holder of the Chair of Mobile Electric Energy Systems at our institute.

The motto of the newly established chair in August 2022 is:

Advancing the energy transition with the electrification of vehicles!

At the new research group novel on-board power systems of aircraft, ships, satellites, cars and other vehicles are researched and optimized with regard to various criteria such as weight, consumption and reliability. The newly developed energy systems help to reduce CO₂ emissions in the transport sector.

Professor Terörde will have his own offices in our building and set up a research laboratory for on-board power networks. In his new field of research, several positions for research assistants are available and several interesting diploma theses are available.
