Guillermo Payá Vayá and Gia Bao Thieu at Euro-Par 2025 Dresden

Guillermo Payá Vayá and Gia Bao Thieu presented their latest work on vector processors at this year’s Euro-Par 2025 in Dresden.

Under the title “Portable and Scalable FPGA Emulation of a Massive-Parallel Vector Processor”, they showcased approaches for flexibly implementing the massively parallel vector processor V2PRO on different FPGAs – scalable and portable depending on the requirements. This enables the emulation of the V2PRO in a wide range of application scenarios.

In addition, Gia Bao Thieu presented his PhD project “A Hybrid DMA-Cache Mechanism to Leverage Memory Bandwidth in Massive-Parallel Processors”, which aims to significantly optimize memory architectures such as those used in vector processors.
