Workshop programme for female Master’s students in STEM subjects and female PhD students (all subject areas)
Women often feel insecure about the sound and impact of their own voices. In everyday academic life, however, the voice is frequently used – during presentations, lectures, group work, work meetings…
In this workshop, you will gain an understanding of the structure and function of your voice and learn to use it confidently, clearly and effectively. Through practical exercises, you will develop an authentic and professional tone of voice. This takes place in a relaxed and light-hearted atmosphere.
For many, stage fright and its effects on the voice and breathing present a particular challenge. We’ll provide tips on how to prepare your voice to cope even in exceptional situations.

Workshop programme for female Master’s students in STEM
A PhD is more than just an academic qualification: It sets the course for your future professional and personal life. But what exactly are the pros? What are the cons? And how do I make a decision that’s right for me?
In this workshop, which is deliberately designed to be open-ended, you will explore the many different aspects of this decision. You will take a realistic look at everyday life as a PhD student and develop a personal understanding of what a PhD means to you. Through concrete reflective and interactive methods, every participant will leave the workshop with greater clarity – if not necessarily with a ready-made answer, then at least with the right questions and a structured framework for decision-making.
