What‘s your nicest memory of Braunschweig and do you have a favorite place?

Since I still live in Braunschweig, I keep generating memories of the city. :) My favorite places in Braunschweig are the areas along the Oker River and Lake Ölper.

Reasons why the TU Braunschweig is a great place to study:

Life in a big city that feels much smaller than it actually is (in a positive way!), centrally located and well connected. And then there are the lively TU campuses and their surroundings.

Describe the time of your studies in 3 words:

  • interesting
  • demanding
  • groundbreaking

Which contents of your studies can you still use in your career today?

Above all, the skills of self-organization and task management. But in terms of content, my three areas of specialization from my Master's degree in Environmental Engineering also fit well with my current professional activities. And, of course, the fundamentals of engineering.

Are you still in touch with former fellow students? Do you see each other and if so, how often?

Yes, I am.

What advice would you give current students for their personal career planning?

  1. Gain as much practical experience as possible at an early stage in order to explore which areas of work are actually suitable for your future career.
  2. Network with fellow students beyond friendships and, above all, in a sustainable manner.
  3. Organize yourself and your studies well (the first step for future project management in your professional life).

In one sentence - In the future I wish the TU Braunschweig:

... that it maintains its status as an important technical university, continuously improves, and develops in line with the times.
