What‘s your nicest memory of Braunschweig and do you have a favorite place?

The view from the 10th floor of the Mühlenpfordtstrasse dormitory ("Affenfelsen") over the city all the way to the Harz mountains was truly legendary. :-) Apart from that, I love Riddagshausen and Ölper See.

Reasons why the TU Braunschweig is a great place to study:

A charming city with just the right size for everyday life, short distances, and various cultural amenities.

Describe the time of your studies in 3 words:

  • challenging
  • versatile
  • intensive

Which contents of your studies can you still use in your career today?

The technical basics still form a solid foundation for various job roles today. In a nutshell, it's mainly the ability to approach problems in a structured fashion and learning to learn.

Are you still in touch with former fellow students? Do you see each other and if so, how often?

I am still in touch with some of my fellow students on a regular basis. And I really enjoy that.

What advice would you give current students for their personal career planning?

  1. Follow your interests, specific knowledge can always be acquired later.
  2. A Master's thesis in the industry is an excellent opportunity to make contacts.

In one sentence - In the future I wish the TU Braunschweig:

... lots of exciting new topics and an active and enthusiastic student body.
