The academic recognition of your achievements can often be clarified before you apply to the foreign university. For this purpose, the office requires an "Austauschplan" (Recognition Plan) and detailed information on the content and scope of the courses you would like to attend abroad. It is also necessary to state in which degree programme the course is offered abroad. You can usually find this information on the university's website. If not, contact the subject coordinator abroad directly.
If the courses are comparable to the courses in your degree programme in terms of subject matter, scope and level, recognition is usually not a problem.
After your return, you present us a transcript of records of the courses you have passed and an "Antrag zur Anerkennung" (Recognition Appication). Afterwards the subjects are booked.
