► Climate is the motto of this year’s Kinder-Uni.
The Kinder-Uni Braunschweig ("University for Kids") is an event for children between 8 and 12 years. In exciting lectures, you can discover science in an entertaining manner and learn more about various subject areas. The lectures are free of charge. Children can meet real researchers and ask them questions!
The Kinder-Uni lectures start on the mentioned Saturdays, each at 10.30 a.m. in the Audimax and are transmitted live into a parents’ lecture hall.
Online registration for the lectures begins on September 18, 2026.
The theme for the 2026 Kinder-Uni was chosen by the children themselves. At the 2025 Kinder-Uni, they voted on the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By a clear majority, they chose the topic of climate change, which thus became this year’s theme.
On Saturdays when the Kinder-Uni lectures are held, you can use the parking lots at the Technische Universität of Braunschweig free of charge.
