change:s - TU Sustainability Tool

The Green Office is the central point of contact for sustainability at TU Braunschweig. Through our "change:s" tool, students, staff, researchers, and faculty can submit ideas, suggestions, or issues regarding ecological, social, and organizational topics. Acting as a central hub, we forward these inquiries directly to the relevant university departments or provide assistance ourselves. As part of the Ecoversity initiative, the Green Office supports the "Transformative Skills" project. Our goal is to actively drive the university's sustainable transformation and empower future changemakers. The name "change:s" reflects this mission: it combines the concept of change with ecological, economic, and social sustainability.

Play an active role in shaping things!

If you have...

  • suggestions for improvements to buildings, infrastructure, or energy systems,
  • observations regarding resource consumption, waste, or mobility,
  • ideas for sustainable processes or events,
  • input on social sustainability and workplace culture,
  • or proposals for sustainable projects, courses, or student engagement,

please feel free to get involved.

How is the process handled?

The Green Office receives inquiries, categorizes them by topic, forwards them to the relevant department where necessary, and ensures transparency regarding the status of the process.

Why a dedicated tool?

The change:s tool enables participation and active involvement, transparent communication, structured forwarding, and the systematic recording of sustainability topics. In this way, individual suggestions become a valuable contribution to the sustainable development of TU Braunschweig.

Through the "Ecoversity – Collaborative Space for Change" initiative, TU Braunschweig aims to evolve into an "Ecosystem University" with strong national and international networks. At its core is a collaborative approach that fosters exchange, enables shared learning, and strengthens the implementation of sustainability initiatives. The Green Office supports the Ecoversity initiative through the "Transformative Skills" project by developing opportunities for research, teaching, and university-wide participation. Our focus is on actively driving sustainable transformation within the university and specifically empowering future changemakers. Acting as a central point of contact, we aim to provide needs-oriented support to diverse target groups. Learn more about Ecoversity.
