Web analysis with Matomo

Purposes for which personal data is to be processed

We use so-called campaign parameters (e.g. “mtm_campaign”, “mtm_source”, “mtm_medium”), which we attach to links in emails or online advertisements. When you click on a link marked accordingly, this parameter is transmitted to Matomo when the page is accessed so that we can identify which campaign or newsletter led to the visit. The evaluation is carried out exclusively in aggregated form for statistical purposes; we do not combine campaign data with personally identifiable information such as names or email addresses.

Legal basis for processing

The personal data of the data subjects is processed on the basis of consent, Art. 6 (1) lit. a General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Duration for which the personal data is stored or, if this is not possible, the criteria used to determine this duration

The IP address of newsletter subscribers is processed briefly and then anonymised.

The data collected by Matomo is processed on our own servers. It is not passed on to third parties for their own purposes.
