On June 5, our planned International Picnic had to be adjusted due to the unpredictable weather conditions. Instead, we met with the international researchers at a cozy Brazilian coffee shop, which provided the perfect setting for engaging conversations and networking.
Afterwards, we had the opportunity to stroll through the charming streets of the Magniviertel and spend some time near the church square. Along the way, we enjoyed many interesting discussions and exchanged ideas on a wide range of topics.
We would like to sincerely thank everyone who joined us and contributed to the inspiring atmosphere. It was a pleasure to spend the afternoon together, and we look forward to seeing you again at our upcoming events.
17.04.2026 Meet & Greet for researchers of PTB and TU Braunschweig
The event combined world café discussions, laboratory tours and networking during lunch time. It was great to see researchers from different disciplines connect, share their experiences of living and working in Germany, and dive into conversations on current research topics.
Starting a life in a new country can be challenging – but moments like these show how valuable it is to build connections beyond one’s own institute. Strong networks not only support academic collaboration but also foster a sense of belonging.
A special thank you goes to our PTB colleagues who generously opened their laboratory doors and shared inspiring insights into their current research topics.
And of course, thank you to everyone who joined the event and contributed to a welcoming atmosphere! Your participation contributed to supporting integration into German academic and everyday life.
TU Braunschweig Welcomes International Researchers from PTB for a Joint Holiday Get-Together
On December 5, we were pleased to welcome international researchers from both TU Braunschweig and PTB to a joint Holiday Get-Together at TU Braunschweig. The event was organized in cooperation with PTB's International Office and formed part of our newly established rotating event series, which aims to foster networking and exchange among international researchers across institutional boundaries.
A festive atmosphere was created through Christmas decorations and a traditional Secret Santa gift exchange (Wichteln), which was warmly received by participants and sparked many engaging conversations.
We would like to thank all participants for the successful exchange and enjoyable gathering. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with PTB in 2026 and to organizing further joint events for international researchers.
