Project-based German learning

Project-based German learning

Would you like to develop your German language skills specifically for practical use in your studies, research or career? Then our new Open Classroom course format is just right for you!

Learning German with a practical focus

In our interactive Open Classroom courses, you will practise the practical application of the German language in realistic project scenarios, as they occur in everyday student or professional life. In small groups of no more than four people, you will work on a task of your choice related to the course topic. Possible ideas will be presented in the first course unit. You are welcome to come up with your own ideas.

From brainstorming to presenting your results, you will work together through all phases of project development – in German, of course. In the process, you will also learn how to use AI effectively. Your teacher will closely accompany you as a language coach and feedback provider.

Who can participate?

  • International students

  • International employees

  • External interested persons with an academic or professional focus

Prerequisite: German language skills at least at level B2 (CEFR).

During the course, you will expand your specialist vocabulary related to the course topic, strengthen your oral communication skills and work with challenging text types. At the same time, you will develop key skills in teamwork, project management, self-organisation and the application of artificial intelligence.

Course levels and topics
