On Technische Universität Braunschweig's social media channels we regularly inform you about news and services of the university as well as about campus life. We appreciate your interest and look forward to a lively exchange with you. In this context, please note the following rules of conduct in our netiquette:

We respect each other!

Our channels come alive through your participation. Your opinions, discussions and constructive criticism are welcome. In the process, it is important to us that the tone is factual, polite and respectful. We reserve the right to immediately remove content that contains personal attacks and insults against the university, third parties or users of the respective channels. Posts that are discriminatory, anti-constitutional, demagogic, illegal, pornographic, extremist, racist, vulgar, disparaging or otherwise inappropriate will be deleted without further comment.

We take data protection seriously!

Data protection is very important to us! Please do not post anything that contains private data (e.g. matriculation number, address or telephone number) about yourself or third parties. When in doubt, please write us a direct message and leave us a way to contact you outside of social media via email or phone.

We communicate in two languages!

It is important to us that everyone understands everything and that there are no misunderstandings. That's why we post in both German and English and ask you to do the same.

We stay on topic!

Comments on a post should always relate to the topic it is about. Please refrain from abusing the comments section for off-topic content. Doing so in this space is annoying and not welcome.

We refrain from commercial content!

We provide information from and for the university on our channels. Advertising, spam and commercial content are not welcome on our platforms and will be removed without further comment.

We respect law and order!

When publishing content on our social media channels, we take care to respect copyright and personal rights as well as the right to one's own image. We would like to ask you to do the same. Always make sure that the source and copyright are correctly stated before you publish content and check whether you have the rights of use for the respective material.

In addition to this netiquette, we respect the general standards and terms of use of the respective social media platform.

Please note our digital opening hours
