The Alumni and Benefactors Corporation of the Institute of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering at the Technical University Braunschweig was founded in September 1995. The objective of the corporation is the advancement of teaching and research at the Institute by sponsoring international cooperation of scientists in the field of sanitary engineering, by financing teaching equipment and field trips. Once a year the members meet for scientific exchange during a one-day field trip on a special subject.The Alumni & Benefactors Corporation is officially recognized as a non-profit organization. Membership dues and contributions are tax deductible.

Presently, the corporation has 65 members, including 6 company memberships of well-known engineering consultant companies and suppliers. Membership dues are 50,00 Euro/a for personal memberships and 150,00 Euro/a for company memberships.
