2020 TransTiP virtual Summer School

The first completely virtual Summer School was held August 31 to September 5, 2020.

This years focus was on Scientific Writing and included workshops on "Communicating Science in English", "Graphic design for geoscientists" and "Proposal writing". Each day started with the "Doctoral Congress", where all participants had the opportunity to present and discuss their research results. Keynote speaker Prof. Lonnie Thompson from the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, USA, presented newest results of his Guliya ice core records from the Tibetan Plateau. Prof. Robert Spicer from the Open University, UK, gave practical tips on how to publish your research for the scientific community and also to the public.
