At Alstom’s site in Braunschweig, around 200 employees work on the maintenance, modernisation and repair of rail vehicles from all manufacturers.
During the tour, you will gain a comprehensive insight into the on-site processes as well as the practical and theoretical fundamentals of modern railway technology. The day begins with a welcome and an introduction to Alstom and the Braunschweig site. This is followed by a specialist presentation on control and safety technology, after which you will have the opportunity to explore various test environments during a laboratory tour. Following a joint lunch break, we will focus on the role of hardware and software in railway operations and illustrate how they work through practical demonstrations. You will then be taken on a tour of the site’s workshops and offices. Finally, another specialist presentation will summarise the topics covered and provide an outlook on future developments in railway technology.
At the end, you will have the opportunity to ask questions about entry-level positions and career opportunities at Alstom during a Q&A session.
