Additionally: Activities offered throughout the semester for credits

To earn the 2 ECTS credits, you must, in addition to the Career Certificate Course, take part in the following activities one time each during the semester:

  • Field trip (one full day or two half-days): On our field trips, you’ll gain valuable insights into companies and research institutions in the region, enabling you to discover the wide range of local career opportunities. You’ll see how the theoretical knowledge you’ve gained during your studies can be applied in real-world working environments, and you’ll have the chance to exchange ideas directly with experts and fellow students. This will help you discover which companies might be a good fit for you as employers and enable you to make initial contacts.
  • Job Interview Training: In this additional training session, held a few weeks after the Career Certificate Course, you will have the opportunity to practise your interview skills for a job interview at a German company during a 45-minute one-to-one session. The interview will be conducted by company representatives from the region and experts from the International Career Service. The focus will be on your self-introduction and typical interview questions. The coaching is rounded off with a feedback session. The exact dates will be published here soon.
  • Coffee, Cake and Career: At Coffee, Cake & Career, we’ll answer your specific questions in a small, relaxed group over coffee and cake – from putting together the perfect application pack and selection processes to career planning. For each session, we invite one local company exclusively to introduce itself at the start. Afterwards, the focus will be on your questions. Make the most of this opportunity to connect with local companies and expand your network!

Finally, you’ll also have to complete an assessment.

Prerequisites

You are enrolled at TU Braunschweig (studying or doing a PhD) and you have a good command of German at least at B2 level.
