Welcome to the homepage of the Institute of Sustainable Chemistry at TU Braunschweig! This newly formed institute unites the chemistry department's sustainability-related activities. The institute comprises three professorships: technical chemistry, electrochemistry and macromolecular chemistry. Each of these subjects covers different aspects of sustainable chemistry. At the same time, application-oriented subjects in chemistry are being brought together and the tradition of the Institute of Technical Chemistry, founded in 1863 (see Chronicle of the Institute), is being continued.
In teaching, each of the three professorships represents its discipline in its entirety, delivering lectures and practical courses as part of the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in Chemistry, as well as the Teaching Export programme.
On the homepage, you will find information about the institute and its staff, as well as an overview of our current research areas and courses.
