Energy-intensive small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are currently facing many challenges, in particular high energy costs. This transfer project, which is a cooperation between the Future Laboratories Production (ZLP) and Energy (ZLE) and G.A. Röders GmbH & Co KG, aims to develop an innovative concept for reducing energy costs in energy-intensive SMEs. The concept to be developed and the associated measures are to be evaluated by means of modeling and simulation, taking into account economic, ecological and technical aspects. In addition, the method for developing the concept will also be evaluated in order to test its transferability to other energy-intensive industrial processes. This project thus integrates methods from the participating ZLP and ZLE and brings them together in preparation for transfer to industry.
The main objective of the project is to develop an innovative concept for reducing energy costs in energy-intensive companies. In order to achieve this goal, interdisciplinary research and development activities are being carried out with the following focal points:
In order to ensure a high level of practical relevance, an intensive exchange between science and industry is sought in the form of project-accompanying committees. The cooperation ranges from participation in committee meetings to active collaboration on project topics or the provision of test environments for the prototypes developed in the project.
