Welcome to TU Braunschweig!
We, the student council for mechanical engineering, are excited to welcome you to the Technische Universität Carolo-Wilhelmina zu Braunschweig. We are delighted that you have chosen one of our engineering courses at the faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
We have organized a series of introductory events for first-semester students to simplify and sweeten the start of your studies. These take place in calendar week 13 (March 25th to March 27th, 2024), one week before the regular start of your lectures.
The first informational event of the orientation phase will take place on March 25th at 11 a.m. in room UP3.007 (the lecture hall underneath AudiMax).
The orientation week (OE - Orientierungseinheit) will begin immediately after the event. You will be divided into tutor groups with other students from your degree. You will get to know the university and the city in these tutor groups. We have planned several events - you will find out exactly what they are at the beginning of the OE. Just one thing beforehand, we will be doing many activities outside after the first information session, so leave your high heels and jacket at home and dress according to the weather conditions.
We recommend that you organize a place to sleep in Braunschweig or the surrounding area for the orientation week as there will be some evening events.
