Presentation of the grant award letter for VLAME

On Wednesday, August 19, Parliamentary State Secretary Matthias Hauer presented the funding notice for the “VLAME” project. In VLAME, research is conducted jointly with the ivb to study emissions from turbofan engines in order to reduce them through targeted operational strategies.

The project is funded by the BMFTR and managed by the project administrator VDI/VDE-IT. Preparations for VLAME were supported by TU Braunschweig's “Postdoc Career Grant.” Through TU Braunschweig's “Postdoc International Mobility Grant” and the SE²A Cluster of Excellence, the research also links to international projects, such as the “JETCALF” project by the University of British Columbia (UBC) in cooperation with Boeing, the National Research Council Canada (NRC), and IFAS.
