Exchange students may choose courses from all institutes and sub-departments of the Department of Life Sciences. Most courses will be taught in German. Therefore, a basic knowledge of German is usually a prerequisite to participate in ERASMUS. Subjects from other Departments can be studied as complementary subjects.

The Department of Life Sciences consists of more than 20 scientific research units in the fields of biology, biotechnology, chemistry, food chemistry, pharmacy, and psychology. For information on their research interests please refer to the respective websites of the institutes. You are encouraged to discuss your course list with the dean of students and the study coordinators.
