Our interdisciplinary research group on magnetic nanoparticles at the EMG develops highly sensitive measurement systems for characterising magnetic nanoparticles for biomedical and bioanalytical applications. As part of a student’s thesis project, a hybrid system combining AC susceptometry (ACS) and magnetic particle spectroscopy (MPS) is to be constructed and tested. To this end, we are seeking support in the development and characterisation of suitable hardware, including excitation and receiving coils, amplifier circuits and other components of the analogue measurement electronics.
