At the celebration of L3S’s 25th anniversary at Herrenhausen Gardens, EIS presented a small live demonstration of real-time person and object detection. A webcam provided the video stream, which a neural network analysed and used to mark detected content immediately.
The demonstration is based on a CNN model (YOLO-LITE) accelerated on the massively parallel V2PRO vector processor. It illustrates possible applications ranging from driver assistance systems and robotics to intelligent image processing.
