Electronic Automotive and Aerospace Systems (Master)

The Master’s programme has a scientific approach. In the compulsory module “Mathematical and Systems Engineering Fundamentals” you will acquire in-depth knowledge. The compulsory elective area includes modules from the following elective areas:

• Electronics System Engineering,
• Space and Avionics Systems Electronics,
• Automotive Systems Engineering.

Knowledge acquired in the basic modules is supplemented by a laboratory module with practical courses from the specialisation areas.

Instead of completing an internship in a relevant industry, you can choose to work on a Master’s team project. In addition, you will take elective courses in the professionalisation area designed to enhance language as well as subject-related and methodological skills in the form of a seminar and a practice-oriented Master’s team project.

Those who have gained experience abroad and speak a foreign language are particularly sought after by the economy. Today, large companies operate globally, research projects are carried out in international teams and specialised literature is written in English. It is therefore important that you take advantage of your studies to gain experience abroad and to professionalise your foreign language skills.

The degree programme is aimed at applicants who have obtained a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in

• electrical engineering,
• mechanical engineering,
• information systems engineering,
• computer sciences

or a closely related discipline.

Graduates have the skills to design complex electronic systems for safety-critical applications, e.g. for vehicle control and aerospace systems, and are in demand in the respective industries as well as in research.

Students who successfully complete their Master’s degree have the opportunity to pursue a doctorate.
