Subproject C1

The exploration and aerodynamic analysis of the dynamic behaviour of civil aircraft with circulation control high lift systems is an essential aspect for the design of such configurations. Based on numerical flow simulations using DLR’s finite volume method to solve the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations work package C1 will determine the aerodynamic interference and response of the flow at the high lift wing and the empennage with respect to steady and unsteady changes of the high lift wing’s circulation control system.
