Cities and sustainability are deeply connected. Urban areas serve as both the primary source of environmental pressure and the main hubs for sustainable innovation.

This 5-day summer school brings together city experts, practitioners and academics to investigate how cities are going through the necessary changes to protect and ensure sustainable living conditions for all. This requires thinking across disciplines and taking an integrated perspective on sustainability: bridging natural sciences, urban technology, social sciences and humanities.

Join us in Antwerp, a city actively transforming itself, and leave with the tools, networks, and interdisciplinary mindset to drive sustainable change in your own city. Discover more

The Sustainable City is aimed at Master students (postgraduates), PhD students and professionals in urban studies and related fields that focus on sustainability.

Prerequisites: Participants should hold an academic Bachelor degree in a relevant field of study and should have demonstrated interest in urban sustainability.
