What‘s your nicest memory of Braunschweig and do you have a favorite place?

The most beautiful memory of Braunschweig is also associated with the most beautiful place for musical activities. This is the Riddagshausen Monastery with its fantastically beautiful backdrop.

Reasons why the TU Braunschweig is a great place to study:

The variety of activities that Braunschweig and the surrounding area has to offer. From cultural events at the State Theater to wonderful hikes in the Harz Mountains in summer, or cross-country skiing in winter.

Describe the time of your studies in 3 words:

  • Diverse
  • Challenging
  • Close to life

Which contents of your studies can you still use in your career today?

Unfortunately far too little, but today it helps me to better assess the complex relationships in my current job and to draw logical conclusions from them.

Are you still in touch with former fellow students? Do you see each other and if so, how often?

Yes, there is a lot of contact, as I work with some of my fellow students.

What advice would you give current students for their personal career planning?

  1. Courage to simply apply for jobs
  2. Don't give up too early if you don't get your dream job the first time around
  3. Let the TU Braunschweig Career Service enrich you with valuable offers and broaden your view of the colorful world of work

In one sentence - In the future I wish the TU Braunschweig:

To make the course more practical and to have professors who are close to the students.

My Braunschweig alma mater and its students are welcome to contact me for:

  • Guest talks and professional expertise on construction projects, hydraulic engineering, final disposal of nuclear waste

  • Sharing experience in connection with application processes and career start
