What‘s your nicest memory of Braunschweig and do you have a favorite place?

My fondest memory of Braunschweig is the time I spent with my fellow students—studying together and then cooking and eating together afterward (often more successfully than the studying itself). My favorite places are the parks and lakes, especially in the spring.

Reasons why the TU Braunschweig is a great place to study:

For me, what sets this institution apart is its emphasis on fostering analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and independent work—all of which have had a lasting impact on me.

Describe the time of your studies in 3 words:

  • demanding
  • versatile
  • formative

Which contents of your studies can you still use in your career today?

In particular, I now draw on the analytical mindset I developed during my studies and my ability to approach complex topics in a structured manner. My broad technical foundation enables me to work in various areas of the automotive industry—from simulation and functional development to technology and project management.

Are you still in touch with former fellow students? Do you see each other and if so, how often?

Yes, but mainly online.

What advice would you give current students for their personal career planning?

  1. Gain insights into different fields of work as early as possible to help you develop your interests in a focused way.
  2. Think beyond your own field of study and consciously build interdisciplinary skills.
  3. In my experience, it makes more sense in the long run to pursue what truly suits you and brings you joy, rather than following rapidly changing trends.

In one sentence - In the future I wish the TU Braunschweig:

... to remain a place that motivates and inspires students, while continuing to develop and grow successfully.

My Braunschweig alma mater and its students are welcome to contact me for:
