Prof. Dr. Thomas S. Spengler leaves the Science Council

After six years, Prof. Dr. Thomas S. Spengler has ended his term as a member of the German Council of Science and Humanities (Wissenschaftsrat).

Prof. Spengler looks back on his six years of service on the Council with great gratitude. He considers it a special honour to have been involved in this important advisory body and to have had the opportunity to actively shape the development of the German science and higher education system.

During this time, he dealt with a wide range of relevant topics and held numerous constructive and enriching discussions with colleagues from across the German research landscape.

Prof. Spengler sums up these years as follows:

"Thank you for the wonderful six years I was able to spend on the Science Council. A wide range of exciting topics, appreciative discussions, great colleagues, valuable friendships, but above all the opportunity to help shape our science system in one way or another. An unforgettable time."

On behalf of Prof. Spengler, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the German Council of Science and Humanities for its trust, support and excellent cooperation over the past years.
