About the Accounting Department

The Accounting Department is responsible for documenting and reporting all TU Braunschweig business transactions in accordance with the Fiscal and Commercial Codes and using commercial double-entry bookkeeping, as well as for tax matters.

Main tasks:

  • Preparing annual financial statements and annual financial reports
  • Ongoing bookkeeping incl. asset accounting
  • Handling tax matters (except income tax)
  • Handling non-cash transactions
