More than 100 employees accepted the invitation of the full-time Vice President for Human Resources, Finance and University Construction Dietmar Smyrek to the anniversary of the Jour fixe onJune 9, 2022 in the Audimax of the TU Braunschweig.
The event was opened with a greeting by the Principal Vice President, in which he explained the idea and the objective of the regular exchange between the central and decentralized administration, went into the history of origin and implementation and took the participants on a journey through time about the event contents of the last 10 years.
Following the welcoming address, those present in the foyer of the Audimax engaged in an intensive exchange of ideas at the topic tables moderated by Professional and Personnel Development, among other things about the desired and unresolved topics, the design of the format and about “ideas and innovations that go beyond the horizon”. There was also the opportunity to place what "you always wanted to say" and to meet for a “coffee with Mr. Smyrek”.
Numerous suggestions filled the metaplan walls at the topic tables. After an evaluation, these will be incorporated into the further development of the jour fixe, among other things, and used to continuously improve the service provided by the administration. After a long time of online events, the participants enjoyed the personal dialog in presence and suggested to continue the intensive exchange beyond the anniversary event.

The first jour fixe of the central and decentralised administration took place on 23 April 2012 and has since established itself as a fixed information and exchange format.
At the quarterly meetings, various institutions introduced themselves, there was a lot of information about changes and updated processes, and problems and suggestions for improvement were discussed. The catalogue of topics covered various topics, including data protection and information security, energy and mobility, international affairs, information portal, occupational safety, working conditions and health, personnel, personnel development, business trips, controlling, third-party funds, awarding contracts. On average, 109 people took part in the events, whereby the number of participants almost doubled during the Corona-related video conference.
