Community Café

Space for networking

Community Café - Engagement im Studium

► Community cafés connect people at TU Braunschweig who are interested in specific socially relevant topics.

• What is the Community Café?

A low-threshold event format in which people, over coffee in a relaxed atmosphere, come together to discuss topics relevant to academia and society and to network.

• Your benefit

The aim is to create a space that enables the formation of valuable collaborations and partnerships in a specific thematic area. You bring the topic and take care of shaping the content. We are happy to advise and support you.

• Our services

We handle organization and communication. That means we provide the infrastructure, advise on a suitable venue (and are happy to bring our format to your event), and promote the gathering.

• Contact

TU researchers, students, and staff have the opportunity to run the Community Café format with a focus topic of their choosing together with us. Simply complete the short inquiry form and send it to Christian Stascheit.

P.S.: Coffee at the Community Café is free, and you can stay up to date via the Community Café Stud.IP group

“How are you? Improving study conditions at the TU” – Community Café @Haus der Wissenschaft
16. September 2026: 13:00 – 15:00

As part of Health Week, the Community Café is returning with the theme "How are you? – Improving Study Conditions at TU." In a relaxed atmosphere with free coffee in the auditorium of the House of Science, we want to discuss ideas for improving your study conditions. Do you have specific suggestions or requests regarding what absolutely needs to be changed or how student health can be promoted? Then feel free to stop by for a cup of coffee—we look forward to seeing you.

10. September 2025, 11:30 - 14:00

To mark Democracy Week, a community café is being held outside Mensa I – no free coffee, but plenty of prizes to be won. The idea is to share personal experiences and perceptions of democracy and to record these on so-called ‘World Coffee’ tablecloths.

Registration is via Stud.IP.
