Important insurances in sports

Occupational disability insurance

An injury to the right hand, an eye condition - sometimes, unfortunate accidents can prevent you from pursuing your dream profession. It's even worse when financial worries pile up. Unfortunately, students and new professionals are often left with almost no statutory insurance coverage. The statutory disability pension is only available to those who can no longer perform even low-skilled jobs below their qualifications.

The advantages of occupational disability insurance:

  • If you cannot pursue your intended profession due to occupational disability by at least 50 percent, we will provide you with an additional pension for the agreed-upon duration.
  • Waiver of abstract reference: You will still receive your benefits even if you are capable of pursuing a different occupation.
  • occupation than your intended profession, unless you are actually engaged in a different occupation. The insurance coverage is valid worldwide.
Safety first: Private accident insurance

Over 70 percent of accidents happen at home and during leisure time, and they are not covered by statutory accident insurance. Statutory insurance only covers accidents that occur on the way to or at the university or during academic activities. Furthermore, the benefits provided by statutory insurance are only basic coverage. With private accident insurance, you receive insurance coverage worldwide and around the clock.

Supplementary health insurance: The best precaution for dental prosthetics and visual aids.

Dental prosthetics can be quite expensive today, as the co-payments required by statutory health insurance constantly increase. Supplementary insurance preserves your budget. You can benefit from the following services:

  • For medically prescribed glasses and contact lenses, we reimburse you 80 percent - up to a maximum of 200 euros within three calendar years.
  • For dental prosthetics, you receive 40 percent of the eligible expenses.
  • When traveling abroad, you have 100% coverage for outpatient and inpatient medical treatment.
Home insurance - protection for your belongings!

Imagine, after a break-in, your television, computer, and stereo system are stolen. Or a pipe burst ruins your wallpaper and carpets. Without home insurance, you would not only have to deal with the hassle and effort but also the financial loss. Öffentliche protects your entire household contents from damage caused by:

  • Fire, lightning, explosion
  • Burglary, robbery
  • Vandalism after a break-in
  • Tap water
  • Storm and hail
  • Natural disasters such as flooding

Certainly, household insurance can be extended according to your individual needs: insurance coverage against bicycle theft and much more.

Private liability insurance!

A small oversight, a wrong step, and it's done. You accidentally burn a hole in the carpet with a cigarette at a party or cause an accident as a pedestrian. All these clumsiness are forgivable and all too human. Yet, even with the smallest mistake, you can cause serious accidents and significant damage.

So that the accident that has occurred does not turn into a personal financial catastrophe, there is private liability insurance - it is a crucial basic provision for everyone.

  • The private liability insurance takes care of you and covers the costs of repairing the damage you have caused.
  • In addition, she represents your right if unjustified or excessive claims for damages are made against you.

For further information, the campus office of the Public Insurance is available.
